What Founding is
The Founding tier is $49/month for the first 25 MSPs to subscribe. You get every Growth-level feature and limit — 50 active clients, 10 team members, 50 GB storage, custom templates, portal analytics, hide-branding toggle. The $49 price is locked for life. Any future price migration on Solo / Starter / Growth doesn't touch Founding — your rate stays $49 as long as your subscription stays active.
Claiming a slot
Two paths land you on Founding:
- Landing page: the Founding banner shows remaining slots. Click
Claim my slot →and you'll sign up with Founding pre-selected. After email confirmation and login, you'll see a “Finish claiming your Founding spot” nudge on the dashboard that takes you to checkout in one click. - From your dashboard: go to Settings → Upgrade. The Founding banner sits above the plan cards while slots remain.
Checkout is handled by Stripe — enter your card, subscribe, and the webhook flips your plan the moment payment succeeds. You'll see the “Your plan” pill on your Founding card and a Manage Billing button appears.
What if the cohort sells out
Once 25 Founding subscriptions are active, the tier closes. The banner switches to a sold-out state, the signup path falls through to a normal 14-day Growth trial, and you can pick Solo / Starter / Growth from the upgrade page.
Locked-for-life, in detail
- Price stays $49/mo as long as your subscription stays active. If Solo / Starter / Growth pricing changes later, Founding is excluded from the migration (
price_lockedflag on your account). - Features track Growth. If Growth gains a feature in the future, Founding gets it too — you're on the Growth matrix, permanently.
- Plan switching is disabled from self-serve upgrade. Founding sits above the other cards; you can't downgrade to Solo/Starter without losing the lock. If you need a plan change, email support@onboardl.io.
Manage Billing
The Manage billing button on your Founding card opens the Stripe-hosted billing portal — payment method updates, invoice downloads, subscription cancel are all handled there. Plan switching is intentionally disabled inside the portal (Founding must not be accidentally switched away).
Cancelling
Cancel through Manage billing at any time. Access continues through the end of your current billing period. If the cohort still has slots available, cancelling frees yours back into the pool. Re-subscribing later might land you on a different plan if the cohort has since sold out.
